Data auditing platform Datatrue has launched a new, non-invasive patented data validation and personal identification system, which uses Microsoft’s artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to identify and prevent widespread data leaks.

DataTrue’s data validation engines and personal information identification (PII) leakage detection solution decode the information contained within data packets, such as cookies, URLs and request bodies, including data transfers to and from third-party servers. The system analyses the information to detect personally identifiable data and then uses AI and ML to continually improve the process to detect issues quicker and more precisely.

“[Microsoft’s AI and ML offerings] significantly improve the leakage detection solution,” said Dean Gingell, DataTrue’s co-founder and the co-inventor of the PII technology. “Not only does it decrease the configuration time for the feature, but it also reduces the development time needed to expand the feature vastly.”

“As businesses increasingly rely on data to operate and cyberattacks grow, it’s vital to find new ways to protect private data,” said Adam Hobson, CEO of DataTrue. “More stringent privacy laws and the need to be compliant also increase the pressure on companies to control and safeguard information.”

By partnering with Microsoft and leveraging Azure’s solutions and platform, DataTrue provides a powerful tool to protect private data, comply with privacy laws and safeguard information. DataTrue also conducts thorough data audits for analytics, marketing and compliance enterprise departments.

“In an era where data is the lifeblood of modern business, safeguarding private information has become paramount,” said Andrew Boyd, general manager of digital natives and startup at Microsoft. “AI and ML present us with a powerful ally in our battle against cyberthreats, and, with our support, Datatrue is harnessing the potential of these technologies to make businesses safer.”
