UK-based IT automation firm PowerON Platforms has launched PowerON Pulse, which will enable organisations to manage and secure devices, and monitor system performance, directly from the cloud.

Pulse Device Management and Security (DMS) is a flexible subscription service built on Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager and Azure. It enables users to migrate and secure devices directly from the internet.

The cloud-based service provides enterprise-class system management capabilities, including secure operating system deployment, patch servicing and self-service software deployment with zero on-premise infrastructure. It can be used to manage Microsoft’s Windows 7 to Windows 10 operating systems, and Windows 2012 R2 through to 2016.

In addition, Pulse Operational Monitoring is a cloud-hosted monitoring solution that provides health, performance and availability data from servers and workloads on a single online platform.

“We’re really pleased with the feedback so far on Pulse from both customers, partners and Microsoft alike,” said Chris Lim, product solutions director at PowerON. “For a long-time businesses and organisations have been asking whether it’s possible to have the functionality of System Centre, delivered as a service, similar to the benefits that have been achieved with products such as Exchange Online. We’re delighted to have been able to make this happen.

“Specifically, with Pulse DMS, our customers evaluating Windows 10 deployments are seeing great value in the cost benefits analysis savings, especially with the speed at which we can deploy and secure devices directly from the internet, whilst eliminating on premise infrastructure maintenance,” added Lim. “There’s no doubt these products will save a huge variety of businesses, as well as public sector organisations, both time and money.”
