Microsoft and NTT have entered into a multi-year partnership to drive digital transformation for their customers. Together, they will deliver new solutions such as in digital twin computing and high-speed networks based on photon transmission.

The alliance will bring together NTT’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity expertise with Microsoft’s cloud platform and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. As part of the agreement, NTT has chosen Microsoft Azure as its preferred cloud platform to host its global IT infrastructure, customer solutions in advanced cybersecurity analytics and hybrid IT management platform.

One the main initiatives of the alliance is to create a Global Digital Fabric – a combination of Microsoft Cloud and NTT’s IT infrastructure – to support a sustainable and secure environment for enterprises to pursue digital projects.

“Our strategic alliance combines NTT’s global infrastructure and services expertise with the power of Azure,” said Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft. “Together, we will build new solutions spanning AI, cybersecurity and hybrid cloud, as we work to help enterprise customers everywhere accelerate their digital transformation.”
