Registration has opened for MWC Barcelona 2023, one of the world’s largest connectivity events that will take place between 27 February and 2 March 2023.

It will focus on accelerating growth, relationships and positive change through its conference theme of ‘velocity’. Under this theme of, the event will cover 5G acceleration, Reality+ as an immersive technology, OpenNet in mobile networks, financial technology and the acceleration of mobile banking and evolving currencies, and the possibility of digitising everything to create value for every industry.

Through sessions, demonstrations and keynotes, MWC will connect 5G with global affairs, industry with immersive technology, and small businesses with technology leaders such as Microsoft.

The event will host leading names from the connectivity industry to guide conference sessions and demonstrations on the latest technology. These include:

  • Timotheus Höttges, CEO of Deutsche Telekom
  • Börje Ekholm, president and CEO of Ericsson
  • Martha Sazon, president and CEO of GCash
  • Vincent Clark, CEO of ocean logistics at Maersk
  • Christel Heydemann, CEO of Orange Group
  • José María Álvarez-Pallete López, president and CEO of Telefonica

MWC will also host the new 4YF start-up event where technology visionaries can meet with investors to connect and launch new business ventures.

Although MWC Barcelona will cover the latest innovation and technology in the mobile telecommunications industry, it also expects to host attendees from adjacent industries such as transport, finance, smart cities, manufacturing, retail and media.

“MWC Is unrivalled in its ability to gather the movers and shakers, policymakers and thought leaders from the mobile industry,” said a spokesperson for the event. “Anticipation is mounting as we look forward to hosting between 2,000 to 2,500 exhibitors – a third more than our 2022 event.
