The State Bank of India (SBI) has chosen Office 365, the cloud productivity solution from Microsoft, to improve communication within its workforce.
This is one of the largest deployments of Office 365 in India, spanning SBI’s countrywide network of 23,423 branches, reaching 263,000 employees and servicing more than 500 million customer accounts.
The implementation of Office 365 is a step in SBI’s digital transformation, which the bank expects to ultimately enhance the customer experience.
“We are excited about our partnership with Microsoft,” said SBI chairman Rajnish Kumar. “As India’s economy continues to grow, the BFSI sector needs to be well-equipped to address dynamic market pressures and rapidly evolving industry needs.
