Simulation solutions provider Ansys has launched a beta release of its new artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistant, AnsysGPT, developed on the Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service.

The service will support users of Ansys solutions and is trained to answer questions on physics, engineering and Ansys products that will help to optimise technical support and improve the customer experience.

AnsysGPT was also built on relevant Ansys resources such as Ansys Innovation Courses, technical documentation, blog articles and how-to videos.

“When trained responsibly, AI-powered virtual services can be a huge asset to both organisations and customers,” said Anthony Dawson, vice president of customer excellence at Ansys. “AnsysGPT has been trained using Ansys data, which increases its reliability for Ansys customers. Further, AnsysGPT complements existing AI integration across Ansys’ portfolio. We are confident AnsysGPT will add great value to our customer experience, providing more seamless support and useful information for Ansys customers.”

The full version of AnsysGPT is expected to launch in early 2024.
