Barracuda’s Message Archiver will make storing and accessing e-mails quicker and more secure

UK-based professional association football club Leeds United Football Club has chosen to implement Barracuda Networks’ Message Archiver for data protection and security. The solution will make it quicker and easier for the club to store and access e-mails securely.
The new e-mail archiving solution also allows the club to combine onsite hardware with cloud-based services, ensuring e-mail data recovery in the event of an attack or data loss.
“As a multi-million pound business we’re dealing with high volumes of important and confidential emails on a daily basis and are a high-value target for cyber attackers,” said Mark Broadley, head of IT and Facilities at Leeds United. “Our legacy e-mail solution wasn’t providing a high enough level of protection and had meant that staff within the human resources and legal teams were spending a lot longer finding information than was needed.
The Message Archiver will help the club meet regulatory requirements and easily carry out complex discovery requests. This is important given the club’s high turnover of personnel and the need to find archived e-mails within minutes.
