Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit now includes fundraising performance dashboard

Microsoft has introduced new artificial intelligence tools and capabilities in Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit to help organisations improve their fundraising and marketing while helping reduce costs and increase operational effectiveness.

New AI capabilities include a fundraising performance dashboard which provides up-to-date and interactive views of campaign performance, donor conversion and other fundraising analytics, using real time data built on Microsoft Power BI’s visualisation platform.

Dynamics 365 Marketing will allow users to use plain language queries to segment donors and identify how donors prefer to be contacted and when they prefer to contribute. Viva Sales AI Copilot capabilities can automate personalised communications, reminders and recommendations.

“Our commitment is to work closely with nonprofits and their partners to develop AI capabilities that help nonprofits address the biggest challenges they face while building their capacity for greater success in the future,” says Justin Spelhuag of Microsoft Philanthropies, in a blog announcing the new capabilities

Microsoft also plans to develop a new AI-powered donor propensity model that will leverage data to understand who is most likely to donate. It will work with a select group of nonprofits to refine the model and make it available in the second half of 2023.

“By taking advantage of easy-to-use AI-powered solutions, nonprofits can better understand supporters, increase donor loyalty and lifetime giving, and tailor fundraising to individual donor preferences, all while safeguarding the integrity of sensitive data,” said Spelhuag.
