A member of the company’s executive leadership team, Patel leads the strategy and development for the Security and Collaboration businesses at Cisco and has profit and loss responsibility for the multibillion-dollar portfolio.

The conference programme will offer more than 40 sessions spanning eight tracks that encompass industry topics including contact centre and customer experience; video or audio visual collaboration; collaboration platforms; practical artificial intelligence; embedded communications and APIs; unified communications and unified communications as a service; workplace strategies; and management, networks and security.

Among the general sessions will be ‘The future of communications technology: Keeping your enterprise ahead of the curve’. The discussion will explore how enterprise IT and communications decision-makers can think strategically about the business, while still understanding communication technology and making the right choices amid a highly competitive industry landscape. Beth Schultz, programme co-chair and editor of Enterprise Connect and No Jitter, and Jim Burton, founder and CEO of C-T Link and co-founder of BCStrategies will moderate this session among thought leaders from vendors that are driving that transformation.

Schultz will also moderate a roundtable discussion among women IT professionals, with panellists sharing career highlights, discussing the opportunities they see ahead for women in IT and providing guidance for others looking to equalise their footing and elevate their presence within IT. Following the roundtable, Schultz will share details around the 2022 Spotlight Award program, which recognises exceptional Women in Communications leaders and role models.

The ‘Enterprise Summit: Preparing for What’s Next’ session will cover the choices faced by enterprises for the future, including technologies and policies that enable a hybrid model of work. Enterprise IT decision makers including Martin Kastner, chief information security officer at Vyaire Medical and Craig Terranova, director of infrastructure and operations for Oldcastle, will share stories and strategies with attendees to provide context for their choices.

Finally, in the ‘Contact centres and customer experience: Blurring the line between automation and live assistance’ session, discussions will cover the evolution of machine assistance and how it is able to help with internal contact centre processes. Led by contact centre specialist Sheila McGee-Smith and Schultz, a panel of contact centre industry executives will discuss how speech and machine learning technologies are changing the level of automation being deployed in contact centres.
