Microsoft has released a preview of the latest Windows 10 build, which includes software updates and improvements for PCs, coding and developing.

Microsoft is developing Windows 10 as a service, giving it new features on a regular basis. The May 2019 Update is expected to start rolling out later this month, bumping Windows 10 up from build 18895 to build 18898.

According to a new Microsoft blogpost by Dona Sarkar and Brandon LeBlanc, general changes have been made, including the resolution of many issues such as crashes in Desktop Window Manager and explorer.exe. Microsoft has also made the disk type visible in Task Manager Performance tab.

The firm is also addressing known issues for developers, including the failure of developer mode when switching to Slow ring or Release Preview ring from Fast ring.
