Microsoft has released Intelligent Message Translation within Microsoft Teams for mobile, allowing multilingual collaboration in chat messages for iOS and Android devices.

Teams uses artificial intelligence to understand a user’s preferred language and how they like to interact with their contacts. The new translation feature then accesses account preferences to alert users when they might benefit from a translation and quickly provides one.

According to a Microsoft news story, Teams will also provide preferred translation prompts when users receive messages in a language they don’t understand.

Users will be able to choose from automatic translation capabilities or can manually select their preferred language in their settings. The application supports the translation of over 100 languages.
