Hannover Messe attracs over 6,000 exhibitors and over 200,000 visitors each year and has already started planning its 2020 show, which will highlight industrial transformation and offer an updated exhibition programme that features new display areas and a new hall plan.

“Hannover Messe enjoys an unrivalled reputation globally,” said Jochen Köckler, chairman of the Managing Board of Deutsche Messe, the event organiser. “To further strengthen the brand, we are integrating all individual tradeshow brands into the umbrella brand Hannover Messe. We have a new site layout that stimulates growth in participation as well as further development of Hannover Messe as the driver of industrial transformation.”

As Industry 4.0 drives the convergence of production and logistics, Deutsche Messe is incorporating the intralogistics topics covered by CeMAT into Hannover Messe as of 2020, making logistics a pillar of the new event.

The new format also clarifies the show’s role in the years to come. “Under the lead theme of ‘Industrial Transformation’, our exhibitors will present the future of manufacturing in the age of Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence and 5G and highlight the benefits of highly automated material flow,” said Köckler.

The revamped event will feature seven display categories that cover the topics that were previously branded as separate tradeshows. For example, Halls 21 and 24 will bring together research and development, start-ups, emerging technologies, innovation culture and the future of work.

“We created… a place where start-ups cross paths with research institutes, and where large companies meet young talent and unconventional thinkers. Future Lab looks at the future of industry,” said Köckler.

The new format aims to make it easier for exhibitors to create new opportunities and for visitors to find the solution providers relevant to their needs and interests.
