Avanade has acquired global software engineering, design and digital strategy firm Infusion to expand its domain expertise in the capital markets and financial services sectors.

The acquisition allows Avanade to capitalise on Infusion’s expertise in application modernisation, customer experience, enterprise productivity, business insights and emerging technologies. Meanwhile, Infusion’s clients will benefit from Avanade’s Microsoft expertise.

“We are delighted to welcome the Infusion team to the Avanade family,” said Mick Slattery, president of North America at Avanade. “This acquisition brings together two organisations whose cultures are based on a client-first approach to digital transformation. In this time of unprecedented change in the marketplace, it also reaffirms our commitment to bringing bold and fresh experiences to our clients and their customers.”

Infusion has 600 employees globally with an office in London, UK and three US offices in New York, Raleigh and Houston and London. It also operates innovation centres in Toronto, Canada and Wroclaw and Krakow, Poland. In addition to financial services companies, Infusion also serves clients in the oil and gas, retail, healthcare, education, and travel and leisure industries.

“This is absolutely the right time for us to join Avanade to achieve even greater success,” said Alim Somani, president of Infusion. “We share a similar culture of innovation as well as the strength, scale and international footprint required to deliver the best digital solutions for our clients. Our people will now have access to award-winning training and career development resources that will facilitate growth and new opportunities.”
