Mimecast has launched CyberGraph, a new artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled tool for email security. As an add-on to the Mimecast Secure Email Gateway, the tool helps users detect sophisticated phishing and impersonation attacks.

CyberGraph stores information about relationships between all senders and recipients and is designed to detect anomalies, alerting employees of potential cyber threats.

“Phishing and impersonation attacks are getting more sophisticated, personalised and harder to stop,” said Josh Douglas, threat intelligence lead at Mimecast. “If not prevented, these attacks can have devastating results for an enterprise organisation. Security controls need to be constantly updated and improved to outsmart threat actors.

“CyberGraph leverages our AI and machine learning technologies to help keep employees one step ahead with real-time warnings, directly at the point of risk.”

Mimecast’s The State of Email Security Report says that employees now click on three times as many malicious emails than they did before the Covid-19 pandemic. To help prevent cyber threats, CyberGraph renders embedded trackers useless, uses machine learning to protect from targeted email threats and engages users with contextual, dynamic warning banners.
