Accenture has opened its second Digital Insurance Solution Center (DISC) in Chicago, US following the successful launch of a similar facility in the UK last year.
DISC is an innovation hub that showcases ‘art of the possible’ solutions and internet of things devices, and allows clients to test digital insurance products and solutions through proof-of-concept pilots.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see next-generation IT architectures that feature cloud-based assets and web services, and multi-channel, telematics and data analytics capabilities. Technologies on show include the Accenture Insights Platform, a cloud-based analytics-as-a-service solution; advanced analytics applications developed through the Accenture Analytics Applications Platform such as the claims fraud application; and Accenture Duck Creek Property & Casualty insurance software.
The centre will also showcase technology from Accenture’s alliance partners covering telematics solutions, analytics and reporting software.
“DISC offers insurers a cost-efficient, low-risk way of experimenting with a wide range of technologies before deploying them to consumers, business partners or internally,” said Cindy De Armond, managing director in Accenture Property and Casualty Insurance Services and the policy services offering lead for North America. “Accenture works with insurers in a state-of-the-art environment to help them explore emerging trends, such as robotics and drones, which is crucial as insurance companies become more digital.”
