Wafer Systems, a subsidiary of smart IT solutions provider InvesTech Holdings, has partnered with Microsoft to deliver two new modern workplace solutions and drive enterprise digital transformation.

As part of the collaboration, the two firms will launch the AIoT-based Smart Building Digital Twin Solution which is built on Wafer Systems’ artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) platform – called Virsical – and Microsoft Azure. It integrates building space management systems with various hardware to analyse workplace data, including employee behaviour, terminal equipment and space status.

In doing so, the solution can improve digital management of enterprise scenarios such as building and space management, energy and emissions reduction, and employee productivity.

“We are pleased to collaborate with our outstanding partner Wafer Systems and jointly create innovative solutions,” said Yin Bing, director of Asia IoT partner business at Microsoft. “It is Microsoft's mission to empower every person and every organisation on the planet to achieve more. Wafer Systems’ innovative smart office solutions work well with Microsoft's industry-leading products such as Azure IoT and Teams, to provide enterprises with convenient tools for efficient management.

“Going forward, Microsoft will continue to support Wafer Systems in product innovation for the provision of industry-leading Microsoft platform-based solutions to more enterprise clients.”

The second product – called Teams-based Digital Administrative Office Solution – is a corporate digital-twin smart management platform built on Microsoft Teams. It also leverages IoT technology to collect data, share resources and optimise management for real-time monitoring of equipment operations.

According to Wafer Systems, the solution helps businesses to “achieve the intelligent management of people, objects and space while improving the efficiency and precision of real-time decision-making”.
