Asus chairman Jonney Shih (pictured) introduced a bevy of new Windows devices at Computex 2015, including the Zen AiO Series of all-in-one PCs, the EeeBook E403SA notebook and an updated version of its Transformer Book T100 two-in-one tablet.
Zen AiO Series
For now, Asus will be launching two Zen AiO models – the top spec 23.8-inch (AiO Z240IC) and a 21.5-inch (AiO Z220IC) option. Both have a slim shell made from anodised-aluminium and an edge-to-edge glass display.
Specifications differ between the two models, but customers buying the top of the range all-in-one will get an i7 Quad-core Intel processor with 32GB of memory, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics card and PCIe Gen 3 x 4 SSD storage.
The Zen AiO Z240IC also comes with a 3D camera with built-in Intel RealSense technology, which allows for highly accurate facial recognition, biometric login and 3D motion-control gaming. It will be available to buy in Q4 of 2015.
Asus EeeBook E403SA
The ASUS EeeBook E403SA is a thin and lightweight notebook. Also made of aluminium, the new PC is 0.7” thick and weighs just over 3lbs. It has a 14” display and includes an Intel Pentium processor, 2GB of RAM and a 32GB EMMC hard drive.
Customers will be able to buy the PC in Q3 of 2015, with prices starting at US$299.
Transformer Book T100HA
Building on the success of its predecessor – the Transformer Book T100 – this latest model is a 10.1-inch laptop and tablet.
According to Asus, the T100HA features a thinner and lighter aluminium-clad design, with a tablet portion that’s 8.45mm thin – 20% thinner than the T100 — and weighs 580g.
Other enhancements include the addition of powerful quad-core Intel Atom ‘Cherry Trail’ processors, up to 4GB RAM, and the latest reversible USB 3.1 Type-C port for improved ease of use. T100HA is also pre-installed with the new Windows 10 operating system featuring Cortana.
