The Australian Red Cross is using a Microsoft Dynamics 365-based system to support those self-isolating during the Covid-19 outbreak. Microsoft partner Velrada helped the organisation develop a system to efficiently provide psychological first aid to those receiving little human contact.
According to a Microsoft news story, the Red Cross was able to implement the system in under a week, enabling volunteers to call people and check on their wellbeing each day, from the safety of their own homes.
Velrada built the solution around Dynamics 365 field service and it uses Power BI to track call volumes and responses, and display those on dashboards. The streamlined system has transformed operations from what was previously cumbersome and error-prone, and saw volunteers use 50 spreadsheets to contact people, ask questions and collect responses.
