At NRF 2020, Samsung Electronics America announced that it is bringing the new Galaxy XCover Pro device to frontline employees with help from Microsoft and telco Verizon. The US product launch aims to accelerate the enterprise adoption of mobile-first retail solutions.

According to Samsung, the device enables instant communication between the shop floor and back office thanks to Verizon’s nationwide network. It also builds on the firm’s longstanding partnership with Microsoft with Teams integration to provide a new Walkie Talkie capability.

“In 2020, businesses are continuing to talk about mobile as the most important element in driving business innovation,” says Taher Behbehani, head of business-to-business mobile at Samsung Electronics America. “Launching the XCover Pro with these partners shows our strong commitment to bringing mobile innovation to the B2B market in ways that maximizes frontline workers’ productivity.”
