Blue Horseshoe extends Dynamics AX to beverage industry

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system provider Blue Horseshoe Solutions has partnered with Retail Realm to develop a Microsoft Dynamics AX-based solution for use in the beer, wine and spirits industry.

Blue Horseshoe plans to use Retail Realm’s RR mAX solution – which is integrated with Dynamics AX – to help one of Nevada’s (US) largest liquor store chains to implement new ERP software.

“Retail Realm’s RR mAX solution helps us elegantly solve a few unique challenges we encountered in the retail beverage industry,” said Justin Carter, Microsoft MVP and solutions architect for Blue Horseshoe. “For example, with the large, ever-changing number of stock-keeping units in the stores, RR mAX’s advanced item search capabilities will enable the store associates to search by any number of fields to return the appropriate product. This also extends to quickly adding multiple items and quantities with just a few clicks.”

RR mAX’s extended reporting capabilities will also enable store associates to determine product placement, which is vital to increasing revenues and sales.
