Multi-channel retailer BVG Airflo Group has implemented a customised Microsoft Dynamics AX retail solution from international consultancy Columbus to cater for an upsurge in enquiries from its e-commerce platform.
BVG Airflo Group currently processes more than two million orders for its home and garden goods, shoes and clothing and sports equipment per year, offering same- and next-day delivery.
To support this, the retailer worked with Columbus to build on its existing Microsoft Dynamics AX enterprise resource planning solution, adding Advanced Warehouse Management and Transport Management modules.
“By upgrading its existing Microsoft Dynamics AX solution, BVG Airflo Group is perfectly placed to manage its expanding customer base and grow revenue streams,” said Chris Braisby, practice director at Columbus. “The Advanced Warehouse Management feature will allow efficient pick, pack and despatch of thousands of orders per day, optimising every aspect of the process to reduce waste and maximise productivity.”
Now that BVG Airflo Group can look up inventory in real time and offer flexible, accurate delivery options, this has significantly enhanced the customer experience.
“We are thrilled to be extending our partnership further with Columbus and excited about the benefits our upgraded AX solution will bring to the company,” said Iain Burgess, chief executive at BVG Airflo Group. “Our relationship with Columbus over the past 10 years and its innovative solutions have always been a major contributing factor to our growth. As our e-commerce division expands and develops we are confident that we have a partner that understands our business fully and in Microsoft Dynamics AX, we have a scalable solution which will provide customers with improved experience and engagement.”
