Dow Chemical, one of the largest chemical companies in the world, is to harness the power of Microsoft 365 Enterprise to help empower its 60,000 strong workforce.

These are exciting times for Dow Chemical, as it moves closer to finalising a merger with DuPont and creating DowDuPont. This will see the company have a strong presence across three global business areas – material sciences, specialty products, and agriculture.

With such changes on the horizon, an intelligent and secure workplace supported by cloud services was required. The company has therefore decided to incorporate Microsoft’s technology into this new chapter of its history.

“At Dow, our growth strategy sees us investing in leading-edge businesses that create value for our customers and shareholders,” said Mario Ferket, IT engineering director at Dow Chemical. “We’re using Microsoft 365 to support a workplace culture that fosters the creativity and teamwork that we need to make our strategies a success – while protecting our environment with intelligent security solutions. By replacing our heterogeneous systems with Microsoft 365, we’re simplifying how IT delivers a modern experience for employees to achieve their highest potential and contribute to our bright future.”

It is hoped that the new technology will engender higher levels of creativity, innovation and collaboration among staff, and that cloud-based management will provide a strong level of support during this transformation.

Ron Markezich, corporate vice president for Microsoft, commented: “I’m looking forward to seeing how the new DowDuPont grows revenue, engages better with customers, and transforms their products thanks to a modern workplace culture that offers the latest in digital business solutions.”
