Concord Group Insurance has upgraded its Accenture Duck Creek policy and claims software to optimise its automobile, mass automobile, dwelling fire and homeowners insurance business.
The regional insurer expects the upgraded technology to help it pursue new revenue opportunities, reduce product development costs and improve the services it provides to customers and independent agents in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont, US.
Concord Group will also benefit from technical and feature upgrades to the Accenture Duck Creek Rating engine and Accenture Duck Creek Templates, which are included in the policy software. The updated system increases pricing accuracy and enables regulatory compliance through the pre-configured bureau-based content within the 10,000 ISO/NCCI policy forms.
“We’ve been using the Duck Creek policy software for years and the latest capabilities made it very compelling to upgrade to help us grow our business,” said Michael Capozza, vice president of IT at Concord Group Insurance. “With the newest version of Duck Creek software in place, we’ll gain operational efficiencies and see improved response times that will help us better serve our customers and independent agents, now and in the future.”
A team comprised of Concord Group’s IT staff, Accenture Duck Creek insurance experts and technicians from Accenture Duck Creek delivery partner Syntel completed the software upgrade. Syntel will continue to assist Concord Group’s in-house team with ongoing system maintenance.
“Any software upgrade poses challenges, but with the right team, business disruption can be managed to minimise risk and cost,” said Michael Jackowski, global managing director at Accenture Duck Creek. “We’re so pleased to have worked with the Concord Group and Syntel teams on this successful policy upgrade implementation that will help streamline administration processes, increase flexibility in product management and add value to the business and their customers.”
