Dassault Systèmes launches My Retail Theatre for retail industry

Dassault Systèmes has launched the ‘My Retail Theatre’ industry solution experience so consumer goods companies and retailers can enable their customers to personalise products.

Built on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, the ‘My Retail Theatre’ solution features interactive 3D visualisation capabilities that transforms the 3D master model used during the product development phase into photo-realistic images.

Consumers can view these images using interactive display devices – such as tablets and smartphones – to select, configure and personalise products by changing colours, materials and textures in a physical store or online. Product components are displayed based on the available inventory and once complete, customers can proceed to the checkout and share an image of their product via social media. Delivery estimates will be quoted based on realistic lead times.

Replacing physical stock with 3D digital photo-realistic images means that retailers can offer consumers an extended product assortment without increasing inventory or compromising on the quality of store displays. In addition, retailers can gain insight into consumers’ tastes and trends and maximise their online engagement.
