Dell, InfraScience and Microsoft have partnered to help Coca-Cola Bottling Company United (CCBCU) migrate 1,100 user mailboxes and more than two terabytes of data to Office 365.
The migration was completed over a single weekend with no disruption to end-user productivity.
CCBCU is one of 200 Coca-Cola bottlers globally, and the third-largest bottler of Coca-Cola products in the US.
“Coca-Cola Bottling Company United chose Microsoft Office 365 to enable enterprise- level communication technology throughout their facility,” said Michael Tweddle, executive director, product management, Dell Software. “Teaming with InfraScience and Microsoft enabled us to help them make the move quickly, without a hitch. Dell has migrated well over 50 million mailboxes over the span of the last decade, and our solutions accelerate the time to project completion while minimising the costs and risks of a migration and user disruption. ”
CCBCU used Dell’s Migrator for Notes to Exchange, Coexistence Manager for Notes and MessageStats solutions to achieve a fast and cost-effective migration, meaning less time had to be spent on day-to-day administration.
Migrator for Notes to Exchange, Coexistence Manager for Notes and MessageStats are part of Dell Software’s portfolio of ZeroIMPACT migration and consolidation solutions. These move and restructure user accounts, data and systems without impacting users or business productivity. End users can still gain full access to mailboxes, calendars and public folders throughout the migration process.
“The weekend cutover went exactly as planned, and our employees were able to come to work on Monday with Office 365 up and running,” said Michael Neighbors, director of IT, CCBCU. “The migration was seamless and simple and has achieved our primary objective of improving our collaboration systems and staying closely connected and integrated with the other bottlers. We are a growing company and moving to Office 365 with the help of Dell and InfraScience has been advantageous for us in many ways. Not only have we been able to easily onboard new employees using Office 365, but we have reduced the administrative effort required to manage the collaboration systems day to day.”
