Duck Creek upgrades billing and claims software

Duck Creek Technologies, an Accenture company, has released an updated version of its Duck Creek suite to deliver enhanced digital and data capabilities to property and casualty (P&C) insurers.

Currently supporting 120 insurance companies worldwide, Duck Creek 2016 expands functions of the core platform and focuses on helping users improve agility, increase operational efficiency and expand international capabilities. The Customer 360 module allows insurers to access detailed information about their interactions with individual customers, which is stored in both Duck Creek’s software and third-party systems. This improves responsiveness to customer enquiries and enables insurers to provide a more personalised service.

Meanwhile, Duck Creek Anywhere allows insurers to extend Duck Creek functions to mobile devices, portals and third-party solutions to streamline operations and connect with customers via any channel. In addition, the multi-geography capability has been extended to improve multi-currency and multi-lingual correspondence.

“Being able to support the digital and data needs of insurers and their customers is critical during this time of system transformation throughout the industry,” said Patti Griffin, chief product officer, Duck Creek Technologies. “Our efforts remain focused on delivering the functionality that makes it easier for insurers to connect, engage, and transact business with customers through any channel or device and utilise data to attain critical insights, improve business management, and advance their success.”

Customers will also benefit from enhancements to the Duck Creek Billing, Duck Creek Claims and Duck Creek Policy modules. For example, new billing instalment options offer more ways for insurers to enhance customer service, while transparent billing traceability makes financial reporting more accurate.

Meanwhile, the new First Notice of Loss mobile app provides new claims reporting options for agents, customers and other intermediaries, and the Field Adjuster mobile app brings desktop capabilities to the inspection site. This makes it easier to create and process claims.

Upgrades to functionalities in Duck Creek Policy streamline communication with agents by allowing them to upload and download policy and quote data from an agency management system.
