Manufacturing solutions provider ABB is collaborating with Microsoft to introduce the Azure OpenAI Service into its ABB Ability Genix Industrial Analytics and artificial intelligence suite.
The integration of generative AI, including Chat GPT-4, on the Genix platform will allow customers to gain better insights into data and generate code, text and images through the Genix Copilot.
This will help users including industry executives, functional specialists and shop floor engineers gain real-time insights, improve decision-making, increase productivity with the potential to extend asset lifespan by 20 per cent and minimise unplanned downtime by up to 60 per cent.

Users will also have access to advanced sustainability monitoring with insights into greenhouse gas emissions and energy usage.
