Microsoft’s corporate venture fund M12 has opened a new office in London, UK to help drive innovation among European technology organisations. The new location will focus on companies working in big data, analytics, cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence and security.

Firms chosen for M12 investment receive funding from the organisation and support with using go-to-market resources and Microsoft technology. These companies can also meet with Microsoft leaders, receive promotional opportunities at events, and be connected with engineering teams to further their ideas.

“I am delighted to see M12 open an office in London, which is home to so many innovative companies,” said Nagraj Kashyap, global head of M12. “It will allow us to meet entrepreneurs face-to-face and progress local investments. I am looking forward to seeing the diverse range of businesses that we will support through this office.”

The London office joins the M12 network with other locations in San Francisco, US; Seattle, US; Tel Aviv, Israel; and Bengaluru, India.
