Microsoft to launch Israel cloud data centre in 2021
Israeli customers will be able to use the Azure cloud and Office 365 to enhance business

Microsoft has revealed plans to build a cloud region in Israel through a new local data centre. The investment will enable Israeli customers to use Microsoft Azure and Office 365 in 2021 to enhance their businesses. 

Azure will ensure these organisations have access to the latest advancements in the cloud, which will help accelerate digital transformation. Office 365 will also help firm’s build a more modern workplace, provide staff with more effective collaboration tools and enhance security and compliance. 

“When I speak to customers across EMEA, it is clear that the power of the cloud is essential for their competitiveness,” said Michel van der Bel, president of Microsoft EMEA. “Offering Microsoft Azure and Office 365 from a data centre region in Israel forms a key part of our investment and involvement in the start-up nation, as infrastructure is an essential building block for the tech intensity that public sector entities and businesses need to embrace.”
