Security Bank Corporation, based in the Philippines, has partnered with Microsoft to develop Sales Proposal Builder (SPB), a new application that is hosted on Microsoft Azure and has been designed to streamline sales operations.

The bank identified that it needed to improve the process of preparing, completing and securing approval for sales proposals through automation and data analysis. It has embedded SPB into Microsoft Teams to provide a seamless experience for its sales team, as well as a more efficient customer-centric banking experience.

Microsoft’s built-in service Logic apps in Azure enable also allows Security Bank to automate document generation and upload its files onto SharePoint.

“Better banking means investing in our customers and what matters to them,” said Eden Nicole de la Peña-Charpentier, head of the transformation team at Security Bank. “That’s why we do whatever it takes to understand and adapt to our customers’ needs. That customer-centricity is at the core of who we are.”

Security Bank employees have provided positive feedback on the platform, with 95 per cent declaring that their workload has been more manageable since the solution was deployed.

“Industry and society continue to face the realities of the pandemic and digital technology will be key to resilience and transformation regardless of what comes our way,” said Beth Pangan, commercial director of Microsoft Philippines Enterprise. “Our ambition is to foster foundational innovation that will create entire ecosystems. This is what our cloud uniquely enables and is intentionally built for.

“We’re thankful for this opportunity to work alongside Security Bank to not only transform and optimise their operations through technology, but to accelerate industry transformation in the Philippines.”
