Microsoft Dynamics partners to head to Directions ASIA
Asia-Pacific based partners will gain detailed insight into Microsoft Dynamics programme announcements

In recent years, Microsoft Dynamics Partners have been confronted with multiple technological changes, broader customer requirements for digitsation and the need to transform their own partner business to the cloud business model.

Most of these challenges were addressed by Microsoft at the autumn Directions conferences in North America and EMEA. Emphasising the key role of the Microsoft Dynamics partner network and Cloud Business partner programmes, Microsoft confirmed its continued investment both in Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365, with the latter to be developed as both a cloud application, and an application platform for independent software vendors (ISVs).

To be held 15-16 March in Bangkok, Thailand, the Directions ASIA conference, will provide more detailed insight into the latest product and programme announcements and the first feedback from the partner community in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition to the review of upcoming Microsoft Dynamics Tenerife release, NAV 2018 R2 and Extensions 2, the event will focus on how to transition into the cloud and fully benefit from the Cloud Solution Provider programme. It will be a must-attend event for partners to develop readiness for future growth.

For ISVs that seek new opportunities behind the Microsoft strategy, the event will provide a better insight into the ISV Embed Program and guidelines on how to leverage the capabilities of Microsoft Office365, Azure and App Source. The sessions will also drill into other innovations, such as Docker, Power BI, PowerApps and Common Data Model.

The conference programme will cover various aspects of the Microsoft Dynamics business, including technical, development, sales, marketing and management issues, providing an opportunity for all professionals to learn first-hand from key Microsoft Dynamics experts. This will include people from the Microsoft team headed by Marko Perisic, general manager for Microsoft Dynamics SMB, and Simon Davis, vice president for Microsoft Dynamics Asia.

As a collaboration platform, Directions ASIA addresses Microsoft Dynamics Partners with a specific focus on the small- and medium-sized business (SMB) market in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition to providing networking and knowledge-building opportunities, the conference is aimed at integrating the partner community to ensure more streamlined communication and effective promotion of ISV solutions. For ISVs from outside Asia, it is an opportunity to find new resellers and extend their partner channels. For local add-on and service providers with a good understanding of Asia’s SMB market, the conference allows them to promote their innovative solutions during the exhibition and presentation sessions. Meeting Microsoft leadership directly will also enable partners to present their recommendations for development, sales and pricing strategies for the Asia-Pacific market.

Directions ASIA 2018 will be the second edition of the conference. Like other well-established Directions events, it has already been recognised as a must-attend event by returning attendees and sponsors. This year, it is expected to bring together 500 attendees from Microsoft Partner Companies in Asia-Pacific. To join the event, visit the Directions Asia website.
