Kalibrate chooses Rackspace for integration project
Solutions and data from its two businesses now hosted on Microsoft private cloud

Fuel retailing technology provider Kalibrate has chosen Microsoft private cloud servers within a Rackspace infrastructure for a project to integrate solutions and data from two different sides of its business.

Kalibrate offers data-driven perspectives covering price, location and more to its fuel and convenience retailing customers. Following a merger with Market Planning Solutions, Inc., it needed to integrate data and solutions from both sides of the business into a single hosted environment, to deliver its software-as-a-service solution, Kalibrate Cloud.

“Bringing together the two parts of the business had the potential to completely revolutionise the way we operate,” said Ian Thompson, a senior vice president at Kalibrate.

The firm selected Microsoft Private Cloud servers within a Rackspace dedicated infrastructure. It worked with Rackspace to incorporate Microsoft Hyper-V technologies and the Microsoft Azure Pack, plus VMware virtualisation.

“We have the largest verified data set in our industry so the aims were to achieve speed, high performance and stability, scalability and easy replication, all whilst keeping low total cost of ownership,” said Thompson. “Our partnership with Rackspace is a massive enabler. They keep our client data safe and ensure it is accessible and packaged correctly.”
