Software provider Automated Intelligence will help the UK Cabinet Office to organise and manage its digital environment via the firm’s cloud-based data analytics and migration solution AI.DATALIFT.

The government department will use the solution to locate, retrieve and appraise its records as part of its Artificial Intelligence Data Remediation and Migration Project.

The Cabinet Office used AI.DATALIFT in a previous project and was able to save £500,000 per year on storage costs. The software ensured compliance with the Public Records Act 1958, whilst enabling the Cabinet Office to explore the use of in-house subject matter expertise, data science skills and techniques to enable faster innovation opportunities.

The new two-year contract will help the office to make decisions on whether to keep or delete information held in approximately 4.9 million files.

“We’re absolutely delighted to be working with the Cabinet Office on their Artificial Intelligence Data Remediation and Migration Project,” said Simon Cole, CEO of Automated Intelligence. “Our innovative AI.DATALIFT solution will meet the specific challenges of central government organisations. We have extensive experience and expertise to help these organisations manage their growing data and information challenges.”
