First issue of The Record now available

We’re proud to launch the first issue of The Record, which is available free of charge in digital format. Visit the magazine page to read the magazine online, or to download a copy to your device.

For almost two decades our publications have showcased the transformational impact of technologies from Microsoft and its partners. The relaunch of OnWindows as The Record marks a new chapter in our own transformation.

This new name recognises that today our reporting increasingly encompasses not just the Microsoft Windows platform, but also Microsoft’s activities in the cloud, mobility, collaboration and a whole host of other technologies that are making a real difference to enterprises in every sector.

For this first issue of The Record, we continue our long tradition of speaking to the most highly regarded experts within Microsoft and its partner network. Highlights include our cover story where Rocky Blanton, Microsoft’s recently appointed corporate vice president for the worldwide enterprise and partner group, outlines how the cloud is helping enterprises the world over to embrace digital transformation.

In a special financial services feature led by Microsoft’s Marcelo Marquez de la Garza, we explore the importance of mobility in today’s banking environment. Meanwhile, in the manufacturing section you can find out why many of today’s leading automakers are choosing Microsoft to fulfil their connected car vision. And in the retail and hospitality section you can hear how Microsoft is at the heart of strategies to connect the modern customer journey.

Other highlights include an interview in the communications and media section with Microsoft’s Rikke Helms, where she explains today’s telcos can transform themselves into nimble, technologically advanced businesses. Our public sector section charts the rise of the smart city.

Plus, there are news articles, viewpoints, case studies, interviews and much more.

We hope you enjoy the magazine and welcome your feedback.
