Going beyond paperless processes for digital transformation

Digital transformation is about using technology in new and innovative ways to do far more than go paperless; it’s about using technology to enable completely new business strategies and maximise the power of data, people and processes. Technologies like the internet of things, cloud, analytics and artificial intelligence can turn data into powerful insights that inform all aspects of business. These technologies also enable companies to innovate in their approach to serving employees, customers, and the market.

However, if companies aren’t careful, the rapid pace of changes in technology can be an inhibitor as much as an enabler, because human nature makes employees likely to resist change. Consequently, company leaders must properly assess the legitimacy of new technology, and then educate themselves and their teams so they can make conscious shifts in the way their businesses implement it.
