Microsoft Azure-based insights ensure customers always travel at the lowest price

Ticketing-as-a-service provider PayiQ has developed a mobile app and ‘best price ticket’ function for Finnish public transport service Föli. PayiQ uses the Microsoft Azure cloud and artificial intelligence services to generate insights and ensure that customers always travel at the lowest price.

The ticket calculates the cheapest price for customers depending on how much they travel. While the initial cost is that of a single ticket – €3 – later the price changes to ensure it is the cheapest.

“Föli is our oldest customer and during our years of cooperation we have been able to implement several new features and ticket products from series tickets to loading of travel cards,” said Tuomo Parjanen, CEO of PayiQ. “Our ticketing-as-a-service platform enables a flexible and versatile ticket range and Föli has taken full advantage of it.”
