HP has brought out two updated ultrabook models as part of its ZBook range of business laptops.
The ZBook 14 and 15u have a 14-inch and 15.6-inch screen size respectively, run Microsoft Windows 8.1, are powered by fifth-generation Intel Core processors and AMD FirePro 3D graphics, and have up to 16GB of memory and up to 1.25TB of storage. The ZBook 14 also has an optional touch display.
“Our new workstation ultrabooks demonstrate our unwavering commitment to professional customers and the need for light, first-class mobile workstations to augment the design workflow,” said Jim Zafarana, vice president and general manager of the Commercial Solutions Business Unit at HP.
Designed to be powerful but still thin and light, HP’s ZBook series is aimed at users in the film/video editing, graphic design, CAD, education, architecture, manufacturing, finance and healthcare markets. As a result, both the 14 and 15u are set up to run applications from Adobe, Autodesk, Avid, Dassault, Esri, SolidWorks, Siemens and many others.
Both models will be available to buy later this month, with pricing starting at US$1,249 for the ZBook 14 and US$1,199 for the 15u.
