Digital services and consulting firm Infosys has become a Microsoft Cloud for Retail Partner, enabling it to develop new solutions to help retailers expedite cloud adoption and optimise processes, transform customer experiences and drive business growth.
Infosys has integrated the Microsoft Cloud for Retail into Infosys Cobalt, a set of cross-industry services, solutions and platforms for driving cloud adoption, building cloud-native platforms and more. The integration will allow retailers to leverage Microsoft’s industry-specific cloud to unify disparate data sources across the end-to-end shopper journey.
Retailers will also be able to access new capabilities, including the Cognitive Store Operations Platform, which optimises inventory management and operations in digital stores, and Cognitive Sales & Marketing, which uses data, analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve sales activities and insights through capabilities such as predictive revenue growth management. In addition, retailers will benefit from the Autonomous Supply Chain Planning & Execution capability, which leverages intelligent data ingestion, harmonisation and AI to predict and fulfil customer demand so they can optimise inventory and reduce the gap between shipment and consumption quantity. Meanwhile, the Cognitive First for Business and IT Operations feature will enable retailers to use AI and machine learning to improve the end-user experience by offering multi-channel engagement and autonomous experiences.
“We are helping retailers and consumer packaged goods companies to come together and embrace cloud-based intelligent solutions at an unprecedented pace, to help improve performance on revenue growth management, strategic cost take-out and sustainable supply chains,” said Karmesh Vaswani, executive vice president and global head for consumer, retail and logistics at Infosys. “This new collaboration with Microsoft leveraging Infosys Cobalt enables retail enterprises to understand their customers better, deliver highly personal experiences, build more resilient supply chains, and position them for long-term growth and success.”
Infosys and Microsoft will collaborate to develop other retail-focused solutions on the Microsoft Cloud for Retail platform in future.
“We are pleased to welcome Infosys as a Microsoft Cloud for Retail Partner and look forward to collaborating with them to deliver innovative Microsoft Cloud for Retail solutions and services to retailers around the world,” said Shelley Bransten, corporate vice president of worldwide retail and consumer goods at Microsoft.
