Life Care Centers of America (LCCA) has adopted a company-wide Microsoft business intelligence (BI) solution to help improve its data analysis and enhance its business performance.
LCCA is one of the largest healthcare providers of post-acute and rehabilitation services in the US.
The company aims to rehabilitate residents and move them home or to an assisted living facility within 60 days of their arrival at an LCCA facility. In order to achieve this, the company realised more sophisticated tools would be needed to help identify inefficiencies in its processes and predict issues across hundreds of facilities.
Working with business analytics consulting firm BlueGranite, LCCA implemented a Microsoft BI solution.
Thanks to the capabilities of Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint Server, LCCA staff can analyse data from a range of sources and present information to management.
Before the adoption of the Microsoft BI solution, LCCA operated without automated data analysis tools. Now the company has 1,400 active users and four corporate-level employees per building who review BI data and run reports.
Data is now synched every hour, meaning problems can be identified before they impact.
Thanks to its partnership with BlueGranite, LCCA is now able to concentrate on areas of priority, such as labour, financial performance, clinical aspects, pain management programs, therapist efficiency, and census levels of the building.
