Data application provider Solix Technologies has launched its Microsoft Azure-based enterprise archiving solution, SOLIXCloud. The solution enables businesses to store databases, file servers and e-mail, as well as moving legacy application data to the cloud.

Using Microsoft’s cloud, the service aims to provide a scalable, secure and compliant data management solution for all enterprise data, including from legacy applications.

“Many companies are relying on the cloud as a next-generation data management platform to support their business operations and we saw the opportunity to fill a massive need,” said Sai Gundavelli, CEO of Solix. “We are excited to work with Microsoft and the Azure platform to help our vision of enterprise archiving as-a-service come to reality.”

The archiving-as-a-solution software offers users support for databases, file servers, email and application retirement, a pay-as-you-go pricing model, robust data discovery, metadata management and 24/7 support.

“Information archiving is now available as a service for public cloud users,” said Paul Maher, general manager of Industry Experiences at Microsoft. “SOLIXCloud is a tool for organisations looking to archive their data and applications at scale.”
