Microsoft teams up with theSkimm for Office and Skype enhancements

Microsoft has teamed up with theSkimm to help provide millions of users with key information and news.

The new partnership will see theSkimm integrated into Office Connectors. This means relevant interactive content and updates can be sent straight to Groups Inbox of users in Outlook.

The Daily Skimm – theSkimm’s e-mail newsletter – is one of the fastest growing on the market. Now with Office Connectors, subscribers to The Daily Skimm can begin instant conversations with other group members on interesting news and updates within Office 365 Groups.

“theSkimm is a company that makes it easier to be smarter by integrating into the routines of our audience,” said Danielle Weisberg, one of theSkimm’s founders. “We’re always looking for ways to bring our unique content to new platforms to reach more people. We are excited to partner with Microsoft on theSkimm’s integration into the company’s productivity and communications tools.”

An early preview of a Skype Bot for theSkimm is also being introduced. This will help bring fresh and interesting content directly to a users’ Skype chat, simply by adding theSkimm bot to their contacts.
