Microsoft to release Dynamics CRM 2016 later this year

Microsoft is to release a new version of its Dynamics CRM customer engagement solution later this year.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 will see a number of upgrades, including in intelligence, mobility and service.

Users will be able to enhance productivity thanks to a simple and seamless experience across Dynamics CRM application and productivity applications, such as e-mail, Excel and OneDrive for Business. This will enhance mobile experiences for workers on the go, and provide enriched data and analytics.

“Microsoft’s obsession with customer success is rooted in our ambition to reinvent productivity and business processes,” said Bob Stutz, corporate vice president, Microsoft Dynamics CRM. “Dynamics CRM 2016 is designed from the ground up to deliver core capabilities all in a single system to eliminate distractions, to make it easier to get things done, and to dramatically increase productivity so our customers can spend more time serving their customers.”

The new release allows users to manage their customer-facing activities in a single experience, and not have to export or switch between programs or applications. This helps drastically reduce the time to completion and automates fundamental tasks.

Dynamics CRM 2016 users will also benefit from an enhanced Excel experience, complete with new Excel templates for various tasks, functions and scenarios. Users will be able to toggle between functions efficiently, rather than face time-consuming and complex exporting. This means customer processes can be augmented with simple analysis through the CRM experience.

Thanks to the new release’s integration with OneDrive for Business and new document generation capabilities, organisations will be able to access their documents within Dynamics CRM.

Delve functionality will also be introduced with Dynamics CRM 2016, which surfaces key content for sales staff, and data management and advanced analytics capabilities powered by the Cortana Analytics Suite and including Azure Machine Learning will enable greater business insights.

Dynamics CRM 2016 will also provide full offline capabilities for sales and service professionals on phones and tablets and across all major mobile platforms, including Android, iOS and Windows.
