Nokia stores are being rebranded as Microsoft resellers

Continuing with its Nokia rebranding exercise which began last autumn, Microsoft is now in the process of converting existing Nokia stores into what will be known as Microsoft Priority Resellers.

Doing away with the last vestiges of the Nokia brand, the stores will feature the colourful Microsoft branded signage and will sell a variety of Microsoft hardware including Lumia, Surface and Xbox, as well as various accessories and services such as Office 365.

Outside of North America, this will be the first chance for many customers to have the opportunity to visit a Microsoft shop and try out the company’s latest gadgets.

The first Microsoft Priority Reseller stores recently opened in Gurgaon, India and Brazil. Conversions will now begin in other countries with Nokia stores, such as France, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand and Vietnam.

In a blog post, Microsoft added that despite this transition, it will continue to honour existing Nokia device warranties and that all existing Nokia and Lumia devices will continue to be serviced through care centres.
