The Noord InfoSec UK Public Sector Dialogue will take place on 13 February 2020 at The International Convention Centre in Birmingham, UK. The invitation-only meeting brings together chief information security officers and directors in the UK public sector (including government, healthcare and education) to benchmark, share best practices and identify solutions to critical industry issues.
The digital revolution has produced a new generation of customers who want services and experiences that are easily accessible, portable, personalised and fast. The public sector is seeing a major shift by embracing digital transformation to meet this demand by fundamentally changing internal processes, investing in new technologies, and changing perceptions across the workforce to improve business functions and accessibility, and exceed the expectations of an increasingly digitally literate population. These include areas such as automation, electronic patient records and online platforms for citizens to access their personal information and pay their taxes.
Being in tune with the change in society has enabled organisations to be more productive, efficient and customer centric. However, with confusion as to what digital transformation involves, continuous budget cuts across the sector and a severe lack of talent, are these changes achievable?
The one-day programme at the Noord InfoSec UK Public Sector Dialogue is solution driven and designed to offer practical insights to answer this question. Organisations can find out how to drive their business objectives through presentations, case studies, on-stage interviews, panel discussions and workshops with industry experts.
Major themes to be discussed at the event include The National Cyber Security Strategy, general data protection regulation, the use of artificial intelligence in security and securing the future of the NHS.
