NRF 2015: Sitecore unveils Commerce 8 powered by Microsoft Dynamics

Sitecore has announced the availability of the Sitecore Commerce 8 powered by Microsoft Dynamics at the NRF 2015 Big Show event in New York.

The new release integrates the experience management capabilities of the Sitecore Experience Platform with the omnichannel commerce capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics for Retail.

Microsoft and Sitecore have worked together over the past year to develop the product and designed its architecture to capitalise on the strengths of both Sitecore and Microsoft Dynamics.

With the new solution, businesses can create connected customer experiences that are optimised for the digital behaviours, devices and preferences of customers. The solution also offers real-time order management across any channel.

“Businesses, until now, haven’t had a unified way to connect the customer experience between the worlds of online and brick-and-mortar,” said Darren Guarnaccia, chief strategy officer, Sitecore. “This partnership fills a real customer need by marrying the expertise and technology of two trusted global enterprise solutions. You can expect to hear more about the success of significant implementations over the coming months.”

With the new solution, all aspects of order capture, such as pricing, tax and discounts, are shared between digital and brick and mortar channels, helping to improve consistency.

Digital experiences built using the Sitecore Experience Platform now benefit from the range of features of Microsoft Dynamics in the areas of loyalty programs, order management and customer service.
