Building on its partnership with Dropbox to create better connections between Office and Dropbox, Microsoft has now introduced integration between Dropbox on the web and Office Online.
“Now, when working in Office Online you can add your Dropbox account to easily browse, open and edit Office files with Office Online,” said the Office team in a blog post. “You can also create new files in Office Online, and save them directly to your Dropbox.”
According to the team, the same integration is available from Dropbox in a web browser. This means that users can now access Office Online directly from the file they are viewing and make any edits.
The new functionality went live yesterday and is available to anyone with a Dropbox and Office Online account.
