Dassault Systèmes recently held its Science in the Age of Experience event in Chicago, US, which celebrated how science, engineering and technology are working together to help simulate a better world.

Taking place from May 15-18 and attended by more than 800 people, the event provided the chance to examine how the digital revolution is presenting new opportunities to scientists and analysts.

The event saw a series of keynote addresses, breakout sessions and an additive manufacturing symposium. Attendees were also able to get some hands-on time with 3DEXPERIENCE solutions.

Highlights of the event included a keynote speech from Caralynn Nowinski Collens, CEO of UI Labs, who promoted a message of innovation, experimentation and collaboration in order to solve complex industry challenges.

A number of Dassault Systèmes customers also addressed the audience, including Arthur Dubois from Joby Aviation and Prof. Katsushi Kunimoto from Nagoya City University Hospital. These speeches covered how engineering and organisational challenges are being met across different scientific fields in today’s world.

A panel discussion featuring leading figures across Dassault Systèmes’s 3DEXPERIENCE platform, BIOVIA, GEOVIA and SIMULIA brands also took place. How these respective solution portfolios are helping to drive innovation was a hot topic of conversation.

Other topics covered included the future of medicine, simulation in automotive, flexible electronics, and digital transformation in food and beverage.
