Shenzhen Bao'an selects NCR for self service check-in terminals

Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport has selected NCR to provide a self-service check-in solution for its new terminal.

The airport has purchased 35 NCR TouchPort kiosks and support services, which run on the Microsoft Windows operating system, and will be deployed at the airport’s new T3 terminal.

Located between the cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport connects the Pearl River Delta area with the rest of the world, and has seen a steady increase in passenger numbers in recent years.

With the self-service check-in kiosks, passengers can process check-in, check flight information, apply loyalty membership and scan boarding passes.

The kiosks feature NCR’s patented two-sided thermal paper technology, which saves up to 40% on paper costs. This reduces staff workload for paper replenishment and facilitates group check-in.

The check-in solution is compatible with the Common Use Self-Service platform and applications used by Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport.

NCR is ensuring optimal performance from the new solution by providing on-site and maintenance services support.
