These devices represent a fundamental change in the role of the payment terminal, functioning as an all-in-one solution, eliminating the need for separate cash registers, barcode scanners and customer-facing displays. The terminals also come with an application management system, allowing merchants to upload and manage everyday apps for inventory management, loyalty programmes, returns and more. According to Adyen, the launch of these multi-purpose terminals reduces the cost of retail hardware and helps businesses to improve in-person customer experiences. With a growing need to help employees learn and improve their digital skills in order to thrive in the modern workplace, education technology firm Mandarine Academy has developed a certification system to support learners. Through the programme – called Test Online Mandarine Academy – the organisation aims to help learners verify their knowledge through a quiz-style exam, with the final certificate being valid for two years following completion. The first certification programme will focus on hybrid working and Microsoft Teams. Adyen launches mobile POS terminals
