42 MAR K E TWATCH : E V ENT S 14-15 October 2022 | Southampton, UK South Coast Summit 2022: exploring Microsoft cloud technology South Coast Summit will return to The Ageas Bowl in Southampton, UK, on 14-15 October 2022. The two-day conference invites the Microsoft cloud technology community to explore Microsoft’s three main pillars: business applications, modern workplace and Azure. On day one, attendees will be able to hear from speakers from Microsoft UK and Microsoft’s most valuable professionals or take part in workshop training sessions. These sessions will cover a range of topics, including security and compliance with Microsoft 365, data and artificial intelligence with Microsoft Azure, and modern communications with Microsoft Teams. Attendees can also take part in the Power Platform Hackathon, which invites individuals to use the Microsoft platform to design an application that solves a realworld problem. The summit will take place on day two, featuring a Microsoft executiveled keynote session and over 100 other sessions. Break-out room presentations will also be held, covering accessibility and inclusivity, adoption and change management, collaboration and productivity, Dynamics 365, security and compliance, and more. The event gives delegates – including developers, technical experts or those working in solution implementation – the opportunity to find answers to their most pressing Microsoft technology questions. The hybrid event proved to be a success, with 100 per cent of attendees feeling they had taken something actionable away from it and stating that they plan to return in 2023. Guest speakers included Nina Schick, an international author and advisor on deepfakes and synthetic media; Baroness Manningham-Buller, the former director general of MI5; and comedian Eddie Izzard. The sessions are rewatchable on request from Gamma and include both a dedicated Microsoft Teams session and a number of customers talking about their digital transformation journeys.
