This deployment will help the university reach beyond improved teaching and learning and support its researchers as well, building on the university’s existing AI applications including advancing breast cancer treatment, transforming crop productivity and improving menopause care. Trusted Tech Alliance formed to strengthen global digital infrastructure An alliance between Microsoft and 14 other technology firms from across the globe was formed at the Munich Security Conference on 13 February 2026, with the shared goal of putting principles in place for the delivery of secure and reliable technology for customers and governments amidst growing geopolitical tensions and supply chain disruptions. The alliance has brought together key players in connectivity, cloud and AI. The founding members are Microsoft, Anthropic, Amazon Web Services, Cassava Technologies, Cohere, Ericsson, Google Cloud, Hanwha, Jio Platforms, Nokia, Nscale, NTT, Rapidus, Saab and SAP. “It is critical that like-minded companies work together to protect security and advance high global standards to preserve trust in technology across borders,” said Brad Smith, vice chair and president of Microsoft.
